1. What TuCora is
What is TuCora and what is it for?
TuCora is a personal and private record designed to organize and reflect on your relationship life. The app lets you manage profiles of people, keep an emotional journal, and use symbolic reflection tools to gain clarity about your emotional connections.
Is it a mental health or therapy app?
No. TuCora is not a medical, psychological, or professional diagnostic service. It is a self-knowledge and personal-record tool intended for organization and entertainment.
How is it different from a conventional emotional journal?
Unlike an ordinary journal, TuCora lets you manage several connections in parallel and compare them using evaluation criteria that you customize. It also integrates gamification mechanics and esoteric tools to offer a multidimensional perspective on your relationships.
2. Privacy and data
How is sensitive data protected in the app?
TuCora uses a local-first model: critical information (notes, journal, red flags, encounters) is encrypted on your device with the AES-256 standard before being stored. The encryption keys live only on the device, in the operating system's secure store (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android).
Who has access to what I record?
No one outside. Your data lives only on your device, and the TuCora team cannot see or copy it. The only things on our servers are the minimal account data (email, date of birth, subscription status) needed to authenticate you and validate your Premium.
Can I get my data out of the app or share it?
You can export an analysis PDF or take screenshots. When you do, that file or image leaves the app's encrypted environment and you become responsible for it: be careful where you store it and don't redistribute it without the consent of the people recorded. If you have Premium, you can also make an encrypted cloud backup (see below).
Does TuCora sell my data?
No. TuCora does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses the Android advertising identifier (GAID) and standard advertising signals; AdMob never receives the content of your journal, profiles, notes, encounters, or period, and does not appear on sensitive screens. The app does not use behavioral tracking SDKs (no Facebook SDK, no Google Analytics, no AppsFlyer/Adjust/Branch). There are no ads in Premium. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
3. Premium subscription
What does Premium include?
Premium enables: unlimited partners and evaluation criteria; Decision Mode to compare several partners; full analysis with metrics and PDF report export; 10 daily Oracle readings plus reading history; encrypted cloud backup; advanced calendar reminders; full control over your notifications; and, for the pet, that it never dies, along with all the exclusive themes and skins. It also removes advertising.
How much does it cost and how is payment managed?
There is a monthly plan and an annual plan (discounted compared to the monthly equivalent). The exact amount depends on your country and local currency — Google Play shows you the price before you confirm. All payments, renewals, and cancellations are managed directly from the Google Play account on your device.
Can I use the app for free?
Yes. The free version lets you manage one person profile, use the default criteria, and do one weekly tarot reading. It includes ads and limits some advanced analysis and compatibility features.
Can I have more than one profile on the free version?
Yes: in the free version you can load one always-visible profile, and unlock one extra profile by watching 2 ad videos — it stays visible for 2 hours and then hides again. Each time you want to see it again, you watch 2 more videos. For unlimited profiles without that friction, there's Premium.
4. Tarot and compatibility
How do the Oracle readings work?
The interpretations are generated by the Google Gemini AI. To protect your privacy, the app goes through an intermediate function on our server that sanitizes the data before sending it: only your name, date of birth, zodiac sign, and —if applicable— the name and sign of the person consulted are sent. We do not send journal, notes, or any of your other data.
Should I make life decisions based on these readings?
No. The readings are symbolic and for entertainment. Do not base medical, legal, financial, or personal-safety decisions on them — the AI can generate inaccurate information and does not replace human or professional judgment.
Is there a query limit?
Yes, up to 30 readings per day per account, to keep the service stable. That's why this feature requires a registered account.
5. Virtual pet
What is the pet and how does it grow?
It's a gamification element that evolves based on how consistently you use the app. Logging encounters, journal entries, and other frequent activities feeds its growth and unlocks new stages.
What's the point of keeping it active?
Keeping the pet active encourages discipline in emotional journaling and unlocks collectible elements (coins, items, and appearances). It's a playful tool meant to improve the experience and consistency.
6. Cloud backup
How does backup work for Premium?
Backup is optional (opt-in) and designed to migrate your data to another device, not as permanent storage. You choose when to upload it. Before leaving the device, the copy is encrypted with a PIN you define, and the encrypted file is automatically deleted from the server after 72 hours.
What happens if I forget my backup PIN?
If you lose the PIN, the backup cannot be recovered under any circumstances. The server never stores the PIN — only you know it, and it's the only thing capable of decrypting the copy. Keep it in a safe place.
How often can I make a backup?
As often as you want. Each new backup replaces the previous one: there is always at most one copy per account in the cloud.
7. Account and devices
What is the minimum age?
Use of TuCora is restricted to people aged 16 or older. The app validates this requirement using the date of birth entered when creating the account.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can do it from Settings → My account → Delete account, or from the guide at tucora.com.ar/eliminar-cuenta. The process is instant and irreversible: it erases the account data from the server and the local data on the device.
What's the difference between local data and account data?
Your emotional data (profiles, journal, notes, encounters, calendar) is local and encrypted on your phone. The cloud account only stores the minimum (email, date of birth, subscription status) needed to validate your Premium and allow access to the Oracle's AI.
8. Troubleshooting
What do I do if the app doesn't recognize my subscription?
Make sure you're using the same Google Play account you made the purchase with and that you're signed in to your TuCora account. The app revalidates your Premium when you open it, so closing it and reopening usually does the trick. If after that it still doesn't show up, write to us at soporte@tucora.com.ar with the purchase email and we'll sort it out for you.
